Another exciting game for Neptunas (8-12) which played on the court of 7th ranked Kedainiai (7-13). Eighth ranked Neptunas upset home team edging them after exciting game by two points 81-79. Kedainiai cut a 15-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Martynas Mazeika (193-85, agency: Limelight Hoops) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and forward Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Neptunas' coach Paulius Juodis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Center Egidijus Dimsa (205-85) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American forward David McClure (200-86, college: Duke) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptunas moved-up to seventh place. Kedainiai at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Neptunas will play against higher ranked Baltai Kaunas (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kedainiai will play against Pieno Zvaigzdes in Pasvalys and hopes to get back on the winning track.
