Regular Season Round 30: Musson - VolinBasket 75-71

An interesting game for Musson (21-6) which hosted in Symferopil second-best VolinBasket (22-5). Third ranked Musson managed to get a 4-point victory 75-71. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of VolinBasket. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-10. But VolinBasket won fourth quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded VolinBasket 38-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Power forward Dmitro Semenov (204-79) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Andrei Senkevich (188-86) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Five Musson players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Vadim Reka (206-83) with 18 points and point guard Vladimir Zhurzhiy (182-78) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Musson maintains third position with 21-6 record having five points less than leader Avantazh-Pol. VolinBasket at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. Musson will again play against league's second-placed VolinBasket in Lutsk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. VolinBasket will have a break next round.
