Regular Season Round 24: Mladost Zemun - Sabac 58-69

There was an upset when higher ranked Mladost Zemun (14-10) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Sabac (11-13) 69-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sabac. Mladost Zemun was better in second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Sekula Jovanovic who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Pavle Boljkovac (190-85, agency: Kotnik Sports Agency) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists. Four Sabac players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Nenad Banjanin (201-85, college: E.Michigan) who recorded 9 points and 8 rebounds and forward Nemanja Draskovic (204-91) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Mladost Zemun's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Sabac maintains tenth position with 11-13 record, which they share with Viva Basket. Mladost Zemun at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third place with ten games lost. Sabac will face higher ranked Crnokosa (#7) in Kosjeric in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mladost Zemun will play on the road against Radnicki OB (#6) in Obrenovac.
