Regular Season Round 24: Chernomorets - Spartak Pleven 77-76

The most exciting game of round 24 in the NBL took place in Burgas. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Spartak Pleven (5-19) to eighth ranked Chernomorets (3-21) 77-76 on Saturday evening. Spartak Pleven was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 17-14 charge of Chernomorets, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Pleven's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of FYR Macedonian center Kiril Pavlovski (210-85, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Slovenian guard Dejan Dunovic (193-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Chernomorets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Ilia Stankov (198-76) with 25 points and forward Todor Todorov (198-82) scored 6 points and 16 rebounds. Chernomorets maintains eighth position with 3-21 record. Spartak Pleven at the other side keeps the seventh place with 19 games lost. Chernomorets are looking forward to face higher ranked Tundja Yambol (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Spartak Pleven will play against the league's second-placed Levski Sofia where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
