The biggest surprise of round 30 was guest Gloria Giants' (15-13) road victory over 6th ranked Science City Jena (14-14) 69-67 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Science City Jena. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-14. But Science City Jena won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Gloria Giants won last quarter 17-17. The best player for the winners was American guard Cordero Bennett (188-87) who scored 20 points. Estonian forward Rait Keerles (201-80) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian guard Tyler Kepkay (183-87, college: Utah, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) who recorded 24 points and 6 assists and American guard Kenny Barker (191-86, college: Alaska-Anch.) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively. Gloria Giants moved-up to sixth place. Science City Jena at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Karlsruhe and ETB Wohnbau.
