They dominated on the defensive end, holding Juventus to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Juventus 41-25 including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Zalgiris looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for the former international guard Mantas Kalnietis (196-86, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Serbian center Milovan Rakovic (208-85) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. Forward Arunas Vasiliauskas (200-85) answered with 16 points and Ukrainian center Roman Gumeniuk (221-87) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Juventus. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zalgiris (18-0) have an impressive series of eighteen victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Juventus lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 15 games lost. Juventus will play next round against strong Rudupis trying to get back on the winning streak. Zalgiris will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
