The game in Botevgrad supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Levski Sofia (19-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Balkan (8-16). Levski Sofia smashed Balkan 105-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Levski Sofia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Levski Sofia outrebounded Balkan 45-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Levski Sofia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American swingman Aaron Harper (199-81, college: Mississippi, agency: Strategic Sports) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists. Four Levski Sofia players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin center Dragomir Marojevic (207-81, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Dimitar Filipov (185-89) added 15 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Levski Sofia maintains second position with 19-5 record having just three points less than leader Lukoil Academik. Loser Balkan keeps the sixth place with 16 games lost. Levski Sofia will meet at home Spartak Pleven (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Balkan will play against Rilski Sportist in Samokov and hope to secure a win.
