Regular Season Round 24: Medvode - Triglav Strazisce 79-72

An interesting game took place in Medvode where higher ranked Triglav Strazisce (15-8) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Medvode (7-15) 79-72 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 47-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Medvode outrebounded Triglav Strazisce 39-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. Triglav Strazisce was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Dario Krejic (195-78) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Dusan Dolinar (204-81) who added 16 points and 19 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Gasper Mahkovic (197-82) with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Rok Jakobcic (194-91) scored 13 points. Medvode moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Konjice and Jance Prit. Loser Triglav Strazisce dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Medvode will face higher ranked Sencur CP (#3) in Kranj in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Triglav Strazisce will play at home against Terme Olimia in Podcetrtek.
