Very important is a home loss of second ranked Kirchheim Knights (18-10) against fifth ranked Webmoebel Baskets (16-12) on Saturday night. Host Kirchheim Knights were defeated by Webmoebel Baskets in a tough game in Kirchheim 97-102. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kirchheim Knights. Kirchheim Knights were ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 52-45 second half run of Webmoebel Baskets. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American guard Jamar Diggs (187-88, college: Wofford) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 assists. Forward Michael Fleischmann (205-86) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Brandon Griffin (202-82, college: SE Missouri St.) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) and forward Sebastian Adeberg (198-84) added 18 points in the effort for Kirchheim Knights. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Webmoebel Baskets maintains fifth position with 16-12 record. Kirchheim Knights at the other side keep the second place with ten games lost. They share the position with Chemnitz.
