There was no surprise when 12th ranked Balikesir (13-20) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Istanbul B.B. (15-18) 88-81 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 43-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Sezgin Eris (185-85) scored 22 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Umutcan Ozyildirim (196-83, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Istanbul B.B. players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Charles Jackson (203-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agency: Court Side) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and guard Yunus Akcay (-89) scored 22 points and 4 steals. Balikesir's coach Ismail Dogrutekin tested twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Istanbul B.B. maintains ninth position with 15-18 record. Balikesir lost fourth consecutive game.
