An interesting game for Polzela (14-9) which hosted in Polzela second-best Maribor Messer (13-10). First ranked Polzela had an easy win 106-84. It was a key game for the top position in League. The game was mostly controlled by Polzela. Maribor Messer was better in second period 28-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Polzela shot 61.5 percent from the field. Polzela had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 69.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was guard Dejan Hohler (188-86, agency: TSS Management) who scored 19 points and 9 assists. Uzbekistani center Dmitry Sviridov (212-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Polzela's coach Jernej Kobale felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jure Pelko (190-90) who recorded 22 points and 8 rebounds and forward Ilija Gavric (200-88) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Polzela maintains first place in League with 14-9 record. Maribor Messer at the other side keeps the second position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
