Very predictable result when fourth ranked Artland Dragons (20-9) outscored on the road 13th ranked BBC Bayreuth (11-18) 82-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Artland Dragons. BBC Bayreuth managed to win fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Artland Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to BBC Bayreuth's 30. American-Puerto Rican forward Nathan Peavy (203-85, college: Miami, OH) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American center Darren Fenn (208-80, college: Canisius, agency: Limelight Hoops) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. American forward Brandon Hunter (201-80, college: Ohio) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Danny Gibson (180-84, college: S.Indiana, agency: Limelight Hoops) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Artland Dragons maintains fourth place with 20-9 record. BBC Bayreuth lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Artland Dragons will meet at home league's leader Brose Baskets in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BBC Bayreuth will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
