Not a big story in a game in Bursa where 13th ranked Pertevniyal (13-21) was defeated by sixth ranked Final Genclik (23-11) 82-77 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Final Genclik looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Esat Sinanoglu (188-82) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 8 assists. point guard Erdem Ilter (-90) helped adding 15 points and 7 assists. Center Ramazan Tekin (212-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Myles McKay (193-86, college: WiscKing.-Whitew., agency: Two Points) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Final Genclik moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Maliye Milli and Vestel. Loser Pertevniyal keeps the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. Final Genclik will face Akhisar Bld (#8) on the road in the next round. Pertevniyal will play against Orman Genc (#15) in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
