Second Stage Round 7: Triglav - Jezica 71-67

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Triglav (23-2) beat 6th ranked Jezica (8-17) in Kranj 71-67. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Jezica was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Jezica 44-18 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for international power forward Ana Ljubenovic (182-88) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Ziva Zdolsek (178-89) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 6 steals. Five Triglav players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Eva Rupnik (177-92) responded with 28 points, 5 assists and 7 steals and Martina Peric scored 16 points. Triglav maintains second place with 23-2 record behind leader Rogaska. Jezica lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. Triglav will play against Ilrija (#4) in Ljubljana in the next round. Jezica will play at home against Grosuplje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
