Very predictable result when third ranked Genc Telekom (26-9) defeated on the road 16th ranked Pamukkale (12-23) 70-65 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 5 points. Genc Telekom dominated on the defensive end, holding Pamukkale to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Can Ugur Ogut (178-92) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84, agency: TSS Management) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Will Caudle (206-82, college: Xavier) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and center Serhat Doganay (-87) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Pamukkale's coach Firat Eser rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Genc Telekom have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 26-9 record having just two points less than leader Selcuk Univ. Pamukkale lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth place with 23 games lost. Genc Telekom will face Pertevniyal (#13) in Istanbul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pamukkale will play on the road against Gaziantep.
