The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked BC-93 Pulsar's (20-12) road loss to fourth ranked Aviastar (21-10) 67-99 on Sunday. Aviastar dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to BC-93 Pulsar's 24 and made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Aviastar looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by BC-93 Pulsar's players. The best player for the winners was forward Sergei Fedorov (198-87) who scored 26 points. Center Olexandr Berhin (205-85) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Aviastar's coach Volodimir Sevastyanov felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Evgen Korovyakov (197-88) who recorded 21 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and power forward Evgeni Vornik (207-86) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aviastar maintains fourth place with 21-10 record. Loser BC-93 Pulsar keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Aviastar will meet at home league's second-placed VolinBasket in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC-93 Pulsar will play against Musson in Symferopil and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
