Helios experienced little problems reaching the next stage of the playoffs. The game was mostly controlled by Helios. Ovronnaz-Mart. managed to win third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ovronnaz-Mart. to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Helios dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Ovronnaz-Mart.'s 34. Helios forced 35 Ovronnaz-Mart. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Ovronnaz-Mart.'s players. American guard Renee Taylor (158-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Merit Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. The other American import center Mandisa Stevenson (191-82, college: Auburn) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Helios players scored in double figures. Hungarian forward Ildiko Szakacs (187-81) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Barbados swingman Jamila Griffith (183-82, college: Md-E Shore) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Ovronnaz-Mart.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
