BBL top team - Brose Baskets (28-3) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they beat fifth ranked s Oliver Baskets (19-12) in Bamberg 83-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of s Oliver Baskets. The game was mostly controlled by Brose Baskets. s Oliver Baskets managed to win fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brose Baskets made 8 blocks. American forward Anthony Leon Tucker (198-85, college: Texas) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Brian Roberts (188-85, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 16 points. Power forward Oliver Clay (205-87) produced 13 points and forward Maximilian Kleber (196-92) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 28-3 record. Newly promoted s Oliver Baskets keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. They share it with B.Muenchen. Brose Baskets will meet Bayern Muenchen (#5) on the road in the next round. s Oliver Baskets will play against LTi 46ers in Giessen and hope to secure a win.
