Second Stage Round 6: Zlatorog - Krka 46-69

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Krka's (4-2) road victory over one of their biggest challengers Zlatorog (2-4) in Lasko 69-46 on Thursday. The game without a history. Krka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 19 Zlatorog turnovers. It was a good game for international swingman Zoran Dragic (196-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Smiljan Pavic (210-80) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Alen Omic (213-92) replied with 4 points and 13 rebounds and guard Nejc Strnad (190-83, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 13 points in the effort for Zlatorog. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains third position in League with 4-2 record behind leader Union Olimpija. Loser Zlatorog keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Krka will face Sentjur (#6) at home in the next round. Zlatorog will play against the league's leader Union Olimpija in Ljubljana.
