Eighth-ranked Dnipro (21-18) gave a tough game to third ranked Azovmash (26-13) in Mariupol. Azovmash managed to secure only three-point victory 97-94. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dnipro. Dnipro was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 23-19 charge of Azovmash, which allowed them to win the game. They made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Liberian-American forward Othello Hunter (203-86, college: Ohio St., agency: David Lee services) supported him with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by American swingman Qyntel Woods (203-81, college: N.Mississippi JC) did not help to save the game for Dnipro. International guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) added 20 points for lost side. Five Dnipro players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Azovmash maintains third position with 26-13 record having five points less than leader BC Donetsk. Dnipro at the other side keeps the eighth place with 18 games lost.
