Tenth-ranked Sakalai (5-17) used its home court advantage to challenge sixth ranked Neptunas (10-12) in Vilnius. The visitors from Klaipeda managed to secure only one-point victory 98-97. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 7-point deficit before their 29-22 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 15-14. Neptunas had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sakalai was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Martynas Mazeika (193-85, agency: Limelight Hoops) helped adding 22 points and 7 rebounds. Neptunas' coach Paulius Juodis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Laurynas Samenas (192-88) responded with 20 points and 6 assists and forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Neptunas and five Sakalai players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Neptunas. They maintain sixth place with 10-12 record. Sakalai at the other side keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Lietkabelis.
