LKL top team - Zalgiris (21-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Pieno Zvaigzdes (13-9) in Pasvalys 81-55. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pieno Zvaigzdes. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The former international forward Tadas Klimavicius (204-82, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points and 8 rebounds. International forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas (205-89) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Brazilian center Paulo Prestes (210-88) answered with 11 points and 7 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (183-87, college: Wisconsin, agency: Edge Sports) added 8 points in the effort for Pieno Zvaigzdes. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
