Everything went according to plan in Bonn where ninth ranked Telekom Baskets (16-15) outleveled bottom-ranked BG Goettingen (4-28) 99-63 on Sunday. The game without a history. Telekom Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Telekom Baskets outrebounded BG Goettingen 38-20 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Talor Battle (183-88, college: Penn St.) who scored 24 points. The other American import center Chris Ensminger (209-73, college: Valparaiso, agency: Limelight Hoops) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (207-91) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Sean Evans (203-88, college: St.John's) added 11 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Telekom Baskets moved-up to eighth place, which they share with NY Phantoms. BG Goettingen lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 28 lost games. Telekom Baskets will face LTi 46ers (#16) in Giessen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BG Goettingen will play at home against Phoenix Hagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
