There was a small surprise in Varna where seventh ranked Spartak Pleven (7-20) defeated 5th ranked Euroins Cherno More (10-17) 94-80. The game without a history. Spartak Pleven led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Spartak Pleven shot 27 for 38 from the free-throw line, while Euroins Cherno More only scored ten points from the stripe. Spartak Pleven players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Euroins Cherno More was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for forward Todor Todorov (198-82) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Simeon Tsenov (196-82) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. The former international guard Plamen Aleksiev (180-87) came up with 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and international guard Tihomir Zhelev (192-90) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for Euroins Cherno More in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Euroins Cherno More's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
