Second Stage Round 7: LTHcast Mercator - Polzela 75-80

Telemach League top team - Polzela (17-9) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked LTHcast Mercator (4-22) in Skofja Loka 80-75. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-19. But LTHcast Mercator won second period 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Dejan Hohler (188-86, agency: TSS Management) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Canadian center Jasonn Hannibal (208, college: Portland) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Polzela players scored in double figures. Kosovan-Albanian swingman Erjon Kastrati (197-94) answered with 19 points and 9 rebounds and guard Aljaz Korosec (188-89) added 21 points and 5 assists in the effort for LTHcast Mercator. Polzela maintains first place in League with 17-9 record. LTHcast Mercator at the other side keeps the fifth position with 22 games lost. Polzela's next round opponent will be Rogaska (#3) in Rogaska Slatina, which may be the game of the day. LTHcast Mercator will play on the road against Geoplin Slovan in Ljubljana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
