Second Stage Round 7: Helios - Elektra 81-59

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Helios as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Helios smashed 5th ranked Elektra in Domzale 81-59. The game without a history. Helios led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 19 Elektra turnovers. Helios players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Elektra's players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Croatian power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Five Helios players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Dorde Lelic (197-89) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and center Salih Nuhanovic (209-82) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Elektra in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Elektra at the other side keeps the fifth place with five games lost. Elektra will play next round against strong Krka trying to get back on the winning streak. Helios will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Union Olimpija at Ljubljana.
