Very predictable result when sixth ranked Gaziantep (26-12) rolled over 13th ranked Pertevniyal (14-24) in Istanbul 78-56 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Gaziantep. Pertevniyal was better in third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Pertevniyal 47-35 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Antabia Waller (188-88, college: Auburn) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 4 steals. Naturalized Serbian power forward Mesut Ademoglu (207-82, college: NW Nazarene) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Burak Can replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Tayfun Erulku (188-94) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Pertevniyal. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gaziantep have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Pertevniyal lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 24 games lost.
