There was no surprise when 7th ranked New Yorker Phantoms (17-16) were defeated on the road by third ranked ALBA Berlin (26-8) 79-64. The game was mostly controlled by ALBA Berlin. New Yorker Phantoms was better in second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded New Yorker Phantoms 41-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. The former international forward Yassin Idbihi (208-83, college: Buffalo) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Kyle Weaver (198-86, college: Washington St., agency: Interperformances) supported him with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Even 14 points and 4 assists by American guard LaMarr Greer (196-76, college: Florida St.) did not help to save the game for New Yorker Phantoms. Center Nick Schneiders (221-84, college: USC Upstate, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 8 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ALBA Berlin maintains third position with 26-8 record having four points less than leader Brose Baskets. New Yorker Phantoms at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 16 games lost.
