The game was mostly controlled by Rjazan. Universitet-Yugra managed to win fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rjazan dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Universitet-Yugra's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Vladimir Ivlev (207-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Nikita Stepanenkov (208-87) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Guard Vladimir Shevel (200-84, agency: Alti Sport) replied with 12 points and guard Ilia Aleksandrov (194-81) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Universitet-Yugra. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
