CSKA left behind the sour memories of Euroleague Final to knock down Khimky in PBL Finals. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-62. CSKA Moscow dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Khimky's 26. They outrebounded Khimky 37-22 including 25 on the offensive glass. American swingman Jamont Gordon (193-87, college: Mississippi St.) fired 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. The former international forward Andrei Kirilenko (205-81) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Five CSKA Moscow players scored in double figures. International guard Vitaly Fridzon (195-85, agency: Alti Sport) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Croatian-Bosnian guard Zoran Planinic (199-82) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
