Both teams had 1-2 record before this meeting. Romania grabbed 80-73 OT win against Israel joining Belgium at fifth place in U20 EuroBasket Division B in Klatovy. Israel dropped to seventh place with 1-3 score. Israel had 66-68 lead in the finish of regular time, but Cristina Bigica than made a lay-up for Romania with only 2 seconds to go. Romania made crucial 7-1 run at the beginning of extra time and later managed to keep its lead for rest of the way. Bigica paced the winning squad with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Sonia Ursu (9 rebs) and Alexandra Ionescu helped their team with 18 points each. In the loosing squad, Bar Gilinski shined with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Avigel Cohen and Thea Lemberger posted 15 points each. Quarters: 16-23, 13-15, 22-17, 17-13, 12-5 OT. In the next game Romania will meet Hungary, while Israel will play against Switzerland.
