Preliminary Round Day 6: ROMANIA - CZECH REPUBLIC 68-65

Romania stays in the race for third place in Klatovy. They grabbed 68-65 win over Czech Republic improving to 3-3 record, while at the other side the host of U20 EuroBasket Division B dropped to 3-2. Three teams will win the promotion for Division A. Cristina Bigica exploded in victory with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Gabriela Cursaru also had a great game adding 20 points, while Alexandra Ionescu followed 9 points and 6 rebounds. The hosts got 19 points from Renata Pudlakova and 12 pts, plus 5 rebounds from Michaela Vojtkova. Petra Bakajsova had 8 points and 6 boards in this meeting. Romania was down by 4 with ten minutes remaining in the game, but they shined in the last quarter 20-13 to take 3-point win at the end. Quarters: 22-21, 15-15, 11-16, 20-13. Romania will play against Bulgaria on Friday. Czech Republic will meet Switzerland.
