Regular Season Round 1: Ferro-ZNTU - Dnipro 95-81

Ferro-ZNTU used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Dnepropetrovsk 95-81. The game was mostly controlled by Ferro-ZNTU. Dnipro was better in third quarter 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Ferro-ZNTU players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Dnipro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Jeremy Chappell (191-87, college: Robert Morris) nailed 24 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Randy Culpepper (182-89, college: UTEP) accounted for 19 points and 8 assists. American point guard Derrick Low (188-86, college: Washington St.) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 8 assists and international power forward Maxym Korniyenko (204-87) added 18 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Dnipro in the defeat. Ferro-ZNTU will have a break next round. Dnipro will play on the road against Kryvbasbasket (#14) in Krivoy Rog.
