The game had a very big importance for BC Donetsk as it allowed them to take a leadership position. BC Donetsk smashed BC Odessa at home 82-59. The game was mostly controlled by BC Donetsk. BC Odessa managed to win third quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by BC Odessa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was international guard Oleksandr Lypovyy (200-91, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Odessa will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. BC Donetsk will try to continue on its current victory against Khimik in Yuzhny.
