Regular Season Round 3: Lemvig - Falcon 62-54

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Lemvig as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lemvig defeated second-best Falcon at home 62-54. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Falcon. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Falcon trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 15-7 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 54-62 at the end of the game. Lemvig dominated on the defensive end, holding Falcon to just 7 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Falcon's 20. They outrebounded Falcon 33-20 including 20 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Emily Hatch (185-89, college: San Diego) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Mallory Moore contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Lemvig players scored in double figures. Guard Sofie Vincents (171-87) answered with 21 points and guard Josefine Vincents (164-92) added 13 points in the effort for Falcon. Falcon's coach Ole Vincents rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Lemvig have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with SISU. Falcon at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Horsholm. Falcon will play next round against strong Horsholm trying to get back on the winning streak. Lemvig will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked SISU in Copenhagen.
