The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Delikatesas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Delikatesas edged one of their biggest challengers Meresta in Joniskis 77-75. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Meresta cut a 21-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. They outrebounded Meresta 40-26 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Meresta helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
