Undefeated Dolphins Bielefeld (1-1) recorded its first loss on the court of ninth ranked Hannover. Visitors were edged by Hannover 55-54. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Dolphins Bielefeld won third quarter 15-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Sarah Acker (191, college: Delaware) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 19 rebounds and 5 blocks and her fellow American import forward Michaela Hawley (185, college: Florida Southern) added 20 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Dolphins Bielefeld. Hannover left bottom position moving up to fourth place in North, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Dolphins Bielefeld. Hannover will play against Hagen Phoenix (#8) on the road in the next round. Dolphins Bielefeld will play against TG Neuss (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
