We should mention about the upset which took place in Paderborn, where 4th placed Cuxhaven BasCats (1-2) lost to eleventh ranked Finke Baskets (2-1) in a road game 67-80. The game without a history. Finke Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Cuxhaven BasCats' 36. It was a good game for forward Michael Jost (204-88) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American swingman Jason Adams (197-89, college: Missouri So.) contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Scott Thomas (200-89, college: Bowling Green) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Monyea Pratt (195-85, college: Stillman) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Cuxhaven BasCats. Cuxhaven BasCats' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Finke Baskets moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Cuxhaven BasCats at the other side dropped to the ninth position with two games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Finke Baskets will play against Kirchheim Knights (#7) on the road in the next round. Cuxhaven BasCats will have a break next round.
