Regular Season Round 3: Fraport SKY - MBC 68-71

A very close game took place in Frankfurt between Mitteldeutscher BC and Deutsche Bank Skyliners. Seventeenth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (1-2) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (1-2). Mitteldeutscher BC managed to escape with a 3-point win 71-68 in the fight for the eleventh place. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-13. But Deutsche Bank Skyliners won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for guard Morris Curry (178-87, college: Providence) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 4 assists. Forward Kelly Beidler (199-88, college: Mt.St.Mary's) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Pro One Sports) with 24 points and 9 rebounds and guard Quantez Robertson (189-84, college: Auburn) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Mitteldeutscher BC left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Deutsche Bank Skyliners. Mitteldeutscher BC will meet at home Bayern Muenchen (#11) in the next round. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against TBB Trier and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
