Regular Season Round 3: Silute - Zalgiris-Sabonio 70-84

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio and 10th ranked Silute had identical 1-1 record. But Silute was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Kaunas 84-70. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Zalgiris-Sabonio. Silute was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Silute 42-31 including 27 on the defensive glass. Silute at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with two games lost. Zalgiris-Sabonio's next round opponent will be Gargzdai-Bremena (#17) at home which should be an easy win for them. Silute will play against Nafta Universitetas (#14) in Klaipeda.
