Very important is a road loss of third ranked TSV 1880 Wasserburg (2-1) against eighth ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (2-1) on Saturday night. Visiting TSV 1880 Wasserburg was defeated by Rotenburg/Scheessel in a tough game in Rotenburg 89-95. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TSV 1880 Wasserburg. Strangely TSV 1880 Wasserburg outrebounded Rotenburg/Scheessel 47-31 including a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Emma lina Stach (175-96) who scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Vanessa House (170-88, college: W.Virginia) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Emma Cannon (188-89, college: Cent.Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 22 rebounds and the former international guard Svenja Brunckhorst (178-91) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rotenburg/Scheessel moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated TSV 1880 Wasserburg. Rotenburg/Scheessel will meet Rhein Main Baskets (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will play against the league's leader Heli Girls (#1) in Noerdlingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
