Regular Season Round 3: Langen - Bayer Giants 87-85

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked TV 1862 Langen (2-1) edged at home bottom-ranked Bayer Giants (0-3) 87-85 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. It was a great evening for American swingman P.J. Reyes (196, college: Charleston Un.) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Tobias Jahn (205-86, college: Cal Poly Pomona) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Jack Eggleston (203-88, college: Pennsylvania) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Adonte Parker (183-89, college: Dayton) scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TV 1862 Langen moved-up to fourth place in Group South, which they share with Fraport SKY II and Licher Baeren. Loser Bayer Giants still closes the standings with three games lost. TV 1862 Langen will face Noerdlingen (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
