Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Giessen, where they outplayed LTi 46ers (1-3) 114-80 on Saturday. The game without a history. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They were well out of reach of LTi 46ers shooting 71.9 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by LTi 46ers' players. The winners were led by American forward Jacob Burtschi (198-84, college: Air Force) who scored that evening 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Stanley Burrell (190-84) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Five Eisbaeren Bremerhaven players scored in double figures. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's coach Douglas Spradley felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) by American guard Dijuan Harris (175-86, college: Charlotte) did not help to save the game for LTi 46ers. Austrian power forward Benjamin Ortner (206-83, college: Metro St.) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated LTi 46ers. It was LTi 46ers' third loss in a row. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will meet at home Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#16) in the next round. LTi 46ers will play against Walter Tigers in Tuebingen.
