Very important is a home loss of second ranked Friendsfactory Germering (2-1) against seventh ranked Speyer / Schifferstadt (2-1) on Saturday night. Host Friendsfactory Germering was crushed by Speyer / Schifferstadt in Germering 92-52. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Friendsfactory Germering. The game without a history. Speyer / Schifferstadt led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Friendsfactory Germering's 44. The best player for the winners was Canadian swingman Emma Duinker (182-89) who scored 33 points (!!!) (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field). Speyer / Schifferstadt moved-up to third place in South, which they share with Jahn Muenchen and Heidelberg. Speyer / Schifferstadt will face KuSG Leimen (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Friendsfactory Germering will play against BasCats Heidelberg (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
