Very predictable result when fourth ranked Eisvogel Freiburg (2-1) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Don Bosco Bamberg (0-3) 71-61. The game was mostly controlled by Eisvogel Freiburg. Don Bosco Bamberg was better in second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Eisvogel Freiburg forced 20 Don Bosco Bamberg turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a good game for swingman Jahzinga Tracey (185, college: Indiana, PA) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Mariesa Greene (183-87, college: Barry) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Janae Young (183-87, college: Pacific) answered with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and center Brett Benzio (190-90, college: Tulane) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Don Bosco Bamberg. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eisvogel Freiburg moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Don Bosco Bamberg still closes the standings with three games lost. Eisvogel Freiburg's next round opponent will be Oberhausen (#8) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Don Bosco Bamberg will play against Wildcats Wolfenbuettel and hopes to get finally their first victory.
