The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-13. But Starwings won third quarter 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SAV Vacallo made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Starwings turnovers. American guard Larry O'Bannon (194-83, college: Louisville, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners and Serbian forward Ivan Kuburovic (203-81) chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW, agency: Warren Sports International) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian-Irish swingman Tony McCrory (199-77, college: Simon Fraser) scored 19 points. Four Starwings players scored in double figures.
