Regular Season Round 4: Vechta - Karlsruhe 73-82

Date: October 13, 2012
Very expected game when bottom-ranked SC Rasta Vechta (0-3) was defeated at home by third ranked BG Karlsruhe (3-1) 82-73 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-73. SC Rasta Vechta was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Rouven Roessler (200-80) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American center DeWayne Richardson (202-77, college: Fairmont St.) chipped in 22 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). SC Rasta Vechta's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BG Karlsruhe keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted SC Rasta Vechta still closes the standings with three games lost. BG Karlsruhe will face Crailsheim Merlins (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SC Rasta Vechta will play against NBC (#4) in Nurnberg and hopes to get finally their first victory.
