Rather predictable result when leader SG Schwelmer Baskets (3-0) defeated on the road 7th ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (1-2) 79-64 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when SG Schwelmer Baskets's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-14 extending their advantage to 15 points. It was a great evening for American guard Julius Coles (193-89, college: Canisius) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 4 assists. Center Sebastian Schroter (207-83) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Dennis Nawrocki (190-92) with 17 points and swingman Henje Knopke (193-85) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. SG Schwelmer Baskets have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of Group North leader, which they share with Rist Wedel. Loser Herzoege Wolfenbuettel dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. SG Schwelmer Baskets will face Spot Up Medien Baskets (#5) in Braunschweig in the next round. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel will play against Recklinghausen.
