Regular Season Round 3: Stahnsdorf - Rist Wedel 53-61

Very expected game in Stahnsdorf where bottom-ranked RSV Eintracht (0-3) was defeated by leader SC Rist Wedel (3-0) 61-53 on Sunday. RSV Eintracht was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded RSV Eintracht 41-29 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Marvin Boadu (193-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Fabian Boeke (211-86, college: Washington St.) helped adding 6 points and 16 rebounds. SC Rist Wedel's coach Sebastian Gleim used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was center Michael Haucke (210-85) with 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Tim Modersitzki (197-85) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. SC Rist Wedel have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of Group North leader, which they share with Schwelm. Loser RSV Eintracht still closes the standings with three games lost. SC Rist Wedel will face Dorsten (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. RSV Eintracht will play against Hannover Tigers (#6) in Hannover and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
