The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked BC Odessa's (1-5) home loss to tenth ranked Kryvbasbasket (2-3) 69-78 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-12. But BC Odessa won second period 21-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Kryvbasbasket won last quarter 24-17. Forward Vitali Malchevskiy (204-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American swingman Winsome Frazier (193-82, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Kryvbasbasket's coach Karlis Muiznieks used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Canadian guard Hernst Laroche (185, college: N.Mexico St.) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Dario Hunt (203-89, college: Nevada) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Kryvbasbasket moved-up to eighth place. Loser BC Odessa dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with Dnipro. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
